How this works, and who handles it

FundEDU helps supporters of Seton Catholic School take part in Pennsylvania's EITC program. Contributions are made to an approved scholarship organization, which awards the scholarships. FundEDU coordinates the paperwork and never holds your contribution.

How it works

  1. Determine your eligibility to participate.
  2. Submit a request to participate to the state.
  3. On approval, receive and sign the final commitment form.
  4. Send a check for the pledged amount.
  5. Receive a K-1 in the mail and file it with your Pennsylvania taxes to claim the credit.

This is a paperwork process with a deadline, not a payment made on this page.

Who can take part

Pennsylvania's EITC is for individuals and businesses with Pennsylvania tax liability. Whether it fits your situation depends on that liability and on the scholarship organization's requirements, which the FundEDU donor team walks through with you on a short call.

What the credit is worth

Pennsylvania EITC and OSTC credits are awarded through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Donors who participate through a Special Purpose Entity (SPE) receive a 90% Pennsylvania tax credit on their contribution, limited by their Pennsylvania tax liability. Figures as of July 2026; program terms are set annually by DCED.

How contributions are handled

Scholarships are awarded by the scholarship organization under Pennsylvania program rules. Contributions may not be designated for a specific student, and participation does not provide a benefit to the contributor's own family.
